Physical Modalities

Physical modalities are an important aspect of chiropractic care. Here are some of the modalities used in chiropractic treatment at SpringWell Health Center:

Interferential Current Therapy (IFC)

Interferential Current Therapy (IFC) is a gentle therapy that can be used for symptomatic relief of pain from acute and chronic injuries.  It is a very safe and effective therapy that directly affects pain levels and can help reduce muscle tension.  IFC has very few side effects, and can treat many conditions.

Therapeutic Ultrasound

Therapeutic Ultrasound has many benefits.  Some direct benefits include; exhilarated healing and increase blood flow to the treated area, Reduction in swelling which can decrease pain, and reduction of scar tissue in acute injuries.  Ultrasound is a very safe and gentle technique that produces a warming sensation in the treated area.

Cold Laser Therapy

Cold Laser Therapy or Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) is a treatment that uses specific wavelengths of light that interact with tissue and can increase the healing process and decrease scar tissue formation.  It can be used on a variety of acute and chronic conditions, and can aide in the healing process by reducing swelling, improving circulation and reducing pain.
