Lisa Sundvall LMT License # 25693

Picture

Lisa has had a lifelong passion for healing work. She began on the healing path in her early teenage years giving massages to her grandmother, who helped her community heal through her massage work as well.

Lisa began her training as a Massage Therapist at Stillpoint Center School for Massage in Greenfield, MA, in 1997. Her training focused on Deep Tissue Therapy, Swedish Relaxation Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Trager Style Rocking, Pre and Post-natal massage and Myofascial Release. She has continued her education since then studying Cupping and Gua Sha, Ashiatsu, Craniosacral Techniques, Reflexology, Stone Essence Therapy and Aromatherapy.

Lisa furthered her education, graduating from The Rocky Mountain Center for Botanical Studies, Boulder, CO, where she studied to become a Certified Clinical Herbalist. She is also currently attending an online Herbalism program at Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine, Weaverville, NC, to further her herbal studies. She holds a bachelor’s degree in the Science of Nursing from Towson University, Towson, MD, which she completed in 2013. She is also accepted and planning on attending POCAtech Acupuncture School, Portland OR, in the fall 2020.

Ayurveda has been a personal focal point of study since 2015. She applies many of the principles of Ayurveda to her daily life and practice. It has been the lens through which she views healing and informs her decision-making process of what is appropriate for every situation.

Lisa also owns her own herbal medicine and body care business. She makes many herbal products, including handcrafted herb infused oils, which she uses during her massage practice.

Lisa uses an Infrared Amethyst table heating pad during her sessions. When stones get warm, they naturally release negative ions and Far infrared deep impact heat. Amethyst crystals isolate and concentrate healing infrared rays in the most absorbable wavelength range 4-16 µm to go up to 8 inches deep. The mat shields from harmful electromagnetic fields. It conducts anions directly to alkalize and restore the natural electrical field of organs and cells. It helps to create calming setting to relieve stress, tiredness and fatigue, relax and revitalize.

In her personal time, Lisa enjoys spending time outdoors, wildcrafting, gardening, making herbal medicines, communing with nature, riding her bike, reading, travel, ayurvedic cooking and spending time with her partner and son.
